Bankhead's Battery is proud to officially join the ranks of the Jeff Davis Independent Guard. We have long reenacted battles side by side with the individual units and members of the JDIG, we share the same passion for preserving Confederate history and heritage, and we share that independent nature on which the JDIG is founded. By providing an umbrella organization which defines its collective strength by the integrity and common interests of its member units, the Jeff Davis Guard takes advantage of individual units' integrity rather than attempt to conform them. Our joining this group merely confirms an existing alliance of friends.

Thanks to Lt. Col. Scott Garrett and Maj. Larry McCluney and our compatriot reenactors for their invitation and support by including Bankhead's Battery as a new member unit in the Jeff Davis Independent Guard.
